BTEC LEVEL 2 FIRST DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS

This is a one year course, and comprises 6 units of work, 3 of which are compulsory:

Assessment Procedures

All Units are assessed and verified internally. There are no exams. There is a 3 point grading for each unit scale, pass, merit and distinction, and each has its own criteria to meet. Points will be allocated accordingly.

Teaching and Learning Styles

The course is vocational and, as such, every effort will be made to use appropriate work/training providers. The teaching styles will vary from didactic, to facilitating, to instruction, role play and supported self study. Individual and group tutorials will be given in order to help students reach their agreed targets.

4 GCSE’s at A-C

Course Entrance Requirements

• A BTEC Level 1 Introductory Certificate and/or Introductory Diploma
• A standard of literacy and numeracy, supported by a general education equivalent to 4 GCSEs D-E
• Other related level 1 or 2 courses.
• Recommendation from Head of Year 11.
