This is the hilarious story of an escaped ostrich, who Ross and Katie attempt to hide in the school toilets from the ostrich farmers that want to kill and sell ostriches to the supermarkets.
At the end of the story Ross and Katie had saved the ostrich with their Head teacher’s help, who then wants the ostrich to stay in the school!
It has slapstick humour, action aplenty and has strong characters to make this a classic Jeremy Strong story.
Comment by Mr WilsonThe Magic Finger is an amazing book. It is about a girl who has the power to turn somebody into an animal. When she loses control she points her finger at the person who made her angry and her index finger turns red and there is a flash.
The Girls next door neighbors, the Gregg's love hunting. One day she loses control and turns them into ducks this is where most of the fun lies.
I would Review this book as a 5 star book because it is a real page turner and it has extraordinary things you don’t see every day.
Comment by Mr WilsonThe Magic Finger is a great book full of excitement and fun and the girl in this book in not one to mess with, she has finger like everyone but it is no ordinary finger, when she gets angry she touches this person with this unusual finger and they turn into unusual people with tails and wings.
I would recommend this book to all of my friends and if you read this you are in for a treat!

The Crowfield Curse is a very good story and a well written book. I wanted to read it as soon as I saw the front cover and I soon found out it was a great book. I liked the bit where William was trying to be kind and help out the creature (the ‘hob’). I would recommend this to my family and friends. I would give the book 10 stars. You really should read it.

The Crowfield Curse
An excellent book and overall page turner. I think that the scariest part was where there was the ‘Dark King’, William, The Angel, Shadlock and Jacob Bone. I was so scared that i was going to put the book down, but i really wanted to know what was going to happen next! It has a bit of history too. My favourite character is Brother Walter. My least favourite character was Prior Ardo.
I would rate this as a 5 Star book.

It is 1347 and 15 year old Will, an orphan boy lives in Crowfield Abbey. He sets off to the forest to gather wood. He rescues a creature from a trap. The creature is a ‘hob’ who shares with him a terrible secret. Somewhere in the forest, behind the abbey where he lives is a grave. Buried deep in the snow is an angle. But how can an angel die? What has it to do with the monks?...............
This book is a strong piece of literature. The book will make you shiver from head to toe. The characters are described very well. The title tells it all! In various books the author does not make the book a page turner; in this book the case is different. It really is a page turner. Please read this book, it is great.
