Students to help in the Interview Process for a New Headteacher!

A panel of students has been chosen to participate in the interview process for the new Headteacher of Shorefields Technology College. This panel will represent all of Shorefields' students, because of their outstanding and exemplary behaviour and attitude.

The panel have been thinking about, and discussing, questions that they feel are important for the school, that will help them decide who they would like to become their new Headteacher in September.

At the end of the day on 1st March, the students will be introduced to members of the Trust Board and representatives from the Local Authority, and will give their feedback from their interviews.

The members of the panel are:

  • Lucy Dibbert - Head Girl
  • Sheriff Alam - Head Boy
  • Gemma Fearon - Deputy Head Girl
  • Joseph Camps - Deputy Head Boy
  • George Barr - Representing Year 10

Governors' Pastoral Panel

Huge congratulations to the following students who were presented to Shorefields Governors on Thursday because of their outstanding attitude and approach towards their education.

The Governors were delighted with all students and felt that they were true ambassadors for Shorefields and should be rightly proud of their achievements. Some of the students had only recently arrived at Shorefields (and joining a new school mid term is especially hard) yet they had settled in remarkably well and were all making a positive contribution to the school
