Exam Congratulations!

Congratulations to the three year 11 students who recently took music exams. They performed really well and came out with excellent results.

Hannah Wilson and Steven Morgan both passed their grade 2 flute exams, and Mark Edwards passed his Grade 8 saxophone exam.

Shorefields has never had a student pass at grade 8 before and Mark has worked really hard to achieve this result, which is even more impressive when you realise he only started playing the sax half way through year 7! Mark’s response was that with commitment and hard work, together with great teachers, you can do really well. We wish him well as he prepares to study A Level music at Gateacre Comprehensive.
Special thanks to Mr Noyce for his hard work with Mark, and to the student teachers who also helped him.

We look forward to a great year as we have several events booked already for the music pupils, both in school and out. If you want to be a part of the various groups see Mr Carmichael as soon as term starts.
