MARKETING EVENING

This was a very enjoyable evening and one where parents of the new Year 7 intake could discuss their child's progress. We have worked very hard over the last few years to ensure that this very demanding transition for students is as comfortable as possible. To assist we have introduced the Year 7 Project. This focuses on thinking skills and builds up literacy skills through a humanities based course of study.

Parents could look at topics such as 'What sort of Learner am I?' and Types of intelligence'.

Year 12 students and parents were also given the opportunity of assessing the first month or so with their tutors and looking at strategies for improvement.

Around the schools faculties put on demonstrations and exhibitions for the Year 5 and 6 students. Parents with questions about the school were able to see staff including the Headteacher.

The evening was a great success and we would like to thank all of the parents that gave up their time to come along.
