THE CURRICULUM - MATHEMATICS

The Mathematics Course at Shorefields:

Year 7

Students are following the NATIONAL NUMERACY STRATEGY modules based on IMPACT MATHS materials. Impact Maths is a course which uses resources organised in levels of increasing standards.

The course emphasises mental mathermatics and calculation strategies to deliver the National Numeracy Strategy. All students study aspects of Number, Algebra, Shape and Space, Handling Data and Using and Applying Mathematics.

Year 8

Foundation level for grades D,E,F & G
