CHARITY COLLECTION

Each term the school has a collection for a range of charities. Students are involved in the decision as to which is the most appropriate charity and in the collection process. All students should participate in these worthy causes.

RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS

We are pleased to be able to celebrate all religious festivals in our school. Non-Christian festivals do sometimes occur during school time. An allowance of two days absence for such occasions is permitted without effecting pupil attendance percentage.

COMMUNITY USE

We are a Designated Community School

Shorefields is a designated Community School and, as such, has a large number of facilities which are available for community use. These include two gyms, a large sports hall, a community hall and various classrooms and other specialist facilities. The school is the centre for a thriving Adult Education programme. In addition a youth club operates from the school on four evenings per week. The youth club has its own purpose designed base. Two youth and community tutors run this facility as well as many other youth facilities in the school. Various gym and sports clubs operate from the school at the weekend.

During the Easter and Summer holiday periods a playscheme operates from the school.
